Susan Maughlin Wood
Susan Maughlin Wood (PunchBeam Music) lets the music in her head out on occasion, to speak truth in togetherness. Her work has been recognized and awarded internationally and she holds the degree of Master of Music in Film Composition from the PNW Film Scoring Program and served as Past President on the Board of Directors of the Seattle Composers Alliance. While engaged in writing concert repertoire and chamber arrangements she is a conduit of passion projects which hold lasting political relevance including film festival hits “Spectratta” (and its dance offshoot Butoh-fusion “Spectrutoh”) as well as documusic film “Coastal Fire: A Common Diary.” Her first original choral work, “Consolatus Lux,” celebrates our great and humble power to shine hope amidst the cyclical darkness of winter.
