Susan Maughlin Wood

Susan Maughlin Wood (PunchBeam Music) lets the music in her head out on occasion and her work has been internationally recognized and awarded. She holds the degree of Master of Music in Film Composition from the PNW Film Scoring Program and served as Past President of the Seattle Composers Alliance. While engaged in writing concert repertoire and chamber arrangements, PunchBeam Music is a conduit of passion projects with lasting political relevance including film festival awardees “Spectratta” (and its dance offshoot Butoh-fusion “Spectrutoh”) as well as documusic film “Coastal Fire: A Common Diary.” Susan’s first original choral work, “Consolatus lux,” celebrates our great and humble power to shine hope amidst the cyclical darkness of winter, a theme which asserts itself again and again.
